Cristina Fernández-Bessa

David Soto is a lecturer in procedural law at the Universidade da Coruña (UDC), Spain. In 2019 he received a Ph.D. degree in law with his dissertation entitled The legal statute of ICSID arbitrators, which was awarded with a cum laude distinction. Being a Ph.D. student, he was visiting scholar at both the Max-Planck Institute for international and European procedural law, Luxembourg, and the Constitutional Court of Ecuador. He has published several articles on investment arbitration and a book entitled The arbitrator in the ICSID system (Valencia, 2020), as well as other publications on the criminal liability of legal persons, on relationships between national constitutional courts and the ECJ and on several aspects regarding the law of evidence. He has also participated in more than 20 national and international conferences. He currently works as an associate researcher in a European project on judicial criminal cooperation within the European Union.
