[ENG] On December 17, Jessie K. Finch, sociology professor affiliated to the Northern Arizona University (USA) gave a lecture invited by ECRIM. This academic activity was carried out in the framework of the course of ‘History and theory of immigration movements‘ of the UDC’s Ms programme on Social Policies and Community Intervention, under the coordination of ECRIM member Ana Ballesteros, PhD. Prof Finch gave a talk entitled ‘Increasing Deaths and Criminalization: Bordering Policies and Practices at the U.S.-Mexico Border‘. In her lecture, Jessie Finch provided course’s students a broad and detailed overview on migration control policies recently implemented in SW US border zones.
